Best online bulk ammo sales?

Posted on 11/15/2008 7:14:07 PM PST by roostercogburn

Looking for the best place to buy bulk ammo from. Obviously want best price, but would like experienced buyers to recommend which to possibly stay away from due to poor quality. Years back bought bulk at a gunshow and had all kinds of problems. These were .357 SIG and 9mm rounds.

Same here. Hell, I’d like ANY ammo at this point. I just bought a Sig 556 and I only have two mags of 5.56 ammo to my name right now! Ammo is hard to come by!

Considering the high shipping cost, it’s better to get the ammo at a gun show.

Me too Rooster!

Need to stock up on .40 for my Sig, some 30 cal for my Winchester rifle, I have an M-1 Garand I have never fired. Need lots of ammo for that. Heck, I’d like some .22 LR and shotgun shells too.

Any Freepers know the best quality/price to order from? Thanks.

I use heavy game shot. The primary defense feature of a shotgun is the sound it makes when you chamber a shell.

At that point it’s “brown trouser time” for most home invaders.

Hey if you are not far from the NC / VA line there is a sporting goods store in Colonial Heights, VA, just south of Petersburg,VA, that has pallet loads of PMC .223 1000rd cases for $350 a pop. I was in there today. FReepmail me and I’ll give you their address.

‘scuse me. Colonial Heights is north of Petersburg, about 50 miles north of the NC/VA line on I-95.

Ironically, the instructor at my CCW certification class today recommended buying your ammo from Wal-Mart. Best prices around since they buy directly from the manufacturer, and ammo’s about the only thing in the store still made in the USA.

I agree..sometimes “Cheaper than Dirt” has some good prices. but unless you buy at least 1000 rounds shipping can cost.

#1 buck gives you more pellets and more pellet cross-sectional area than 00 buck for the same powder charge, and is less apt to penetrate walls.
