New here at FR. I am an old guard fiscal/social conservative who came on board the GOP bandwagon in the '80s with the Reagan Revolution. I slipped over from Townhall.com because that place seems to be infested with RINO's, moderates, neocons, and global interventionists. I sure do hope my ship has charted it's way to friendlier waters.
I’ve never been over to Townhall but I find it hard to believe it can be as conservatively informative as this place is.
I’m ‘schooled’ over here to a more intelligently conservative, (I’m kind of a newbie at it). But, oh there are bickerings that go on here from time to time.
We’ll have to wait for Paradise to come later but till then, I’m pretty happy here.

You will find a wide variety of opinions here as well, some more right than your own and some just plain wrong, but most on your general track. That’s what makes it a great forum.
I was not old enough to vote when Goldwater was running, but I read the book “A Choice Not An Echo, which was written to try to assist in his election.
I especially liked his speech where he said, “I would remind you that extremism in defense of liberty is no vice.”

Yes, I agree, this is what I mean by non-interventionist, maybe non-nation building is the term I should have used in my intro. I come from a 4 generation military family and have nothing but the highest admiration for our men and women in arms. If military projection means isolating the source of the problem, defining our objectives, kickin’ butt, taking names and getting out as soon as possible, I’m on board. The surge in Iraq should have come alot sooner.

Just cut and paste and italicize using HTML. It's fairly easy to use and you will pick it up fast if you don' know it. I didn't when I signed up at FR.

You and the other Rodney King Conservatives around here need to wake up and smell the zot. WE ARE BEING ATTACKED by a very skilled enemy and they do not want to play nice. So if you want to be all nice and polite go ahead but when Obama's National Security Force comes for you they will not be polite.
ALL noobs are suspect until they prove themselves and then still will be watched carefully.
