What happened yesterday - 11/08/2008? [Update at post number 207]

Question: What happened to FreeRepublic yesterday? It was unavailable? I was beginning to suffer from truth withdrawal syndrome.

Man50D, I believe it's you and your smug attitude that John finds offensive ..
Oh I see, it's smug to honor the request posted in reply #18.

This is becoming quite the thread. I was glad to see it too, and I think my wife is just as happy. She had to listen to me ranting and raving all day yesterday without the comfort of FR.
On a side note, I find the back and forth about whether this vanity is a welcome vanity or not is quite interesting. A lot like what we experienced this last election. Remember folx: United we stand, divided we fall. And last teusday, we fell HARD.

“Im surprised Free Dominion is allowed to exist in Canada.”
I thought they were now operating from offshore, and I thought it was a Panamanian offsore company.
Can someone put me up to date?
Thank you.

I know what you mean - FR being down cost me 2 sweaters on EBay and 2 pairs of slacks from Coldwater Creek!! I’m sending the bill to JimRob :)

This thread is really bugging you, isn’t it? Relax. Save your energy. We have much, much bigger battles to fight over the next four (and possibly 8) years.

Nope. I merely pointed out the request linked to in reply #18 and for some inexplicable reason people took offense.

Probably the work of “malcontents”.

I did not realize how much news I get from this site. Welcome back, FR!

Oh I see, it's smug to honor the request posted in reply #18. No, it's smug to keep squawking when you're so obviously wrong.

As a mother, can you just please stop. You are reminding me of my kids when they are picking on each other. Thank God they are grown now. I don’t have the patience for it anymore.
Just Stop!!

No, it's smug to keep squawking when you're so obviously wrong.
Then you should stop squawking.

Whatever may have happened is an excuse to figuratively prepare for an alternate site. FreeRepublic has had problems before and will probably have them again. The image above does not mean anything but a focal point for this link, I suggest that it be bookmarked in everyone's browser and feel free to drop in, just because its slow there does not mean its not working. Freepers are there and the format is different. http://altfreerepublic.freeforums.org/

Dude,
You keep insisting that NO ONE has given an enlightened answer to yesterday’s outage.
AND YET, you (in a much earlier post to a football thread) wondered if YOUR computer was hinky yesterday. At the time, I wondered the same thing about mine.
Didn’t we get the answer in Post 2 of this thread?
Explain why this dead horse needs more of your serious thumpin’.
To: tx_eggman
Ah yes, when all else fails and lacking any pertinent information to the purpose of the thread then resort to insults. Good for you.
