“In all, with Barack Obama’s promises to cut taxes, merit pay for public school teachers, and renewed offshore drilling, I would say he simply ran the most successful moderate Republican presidential campaign since Dwight Eisenhower.”

I confess, I didn’t read the whole article, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he probably said that BHO ran as a moderate Republican rather than is a moderate.

I think you missed his point completely... he was implying that Obama masked his liberal agenda and only talked about things like ‘tax cuts, drilling, etc’.. IE, he was trying to say that the Country really does want Conservative values, so much that Obama had to use them..

What he said was:

"In all, with Barack Obama’s promises to cut taxes, merit pay for public school teachers, and renewed offshore drilling, I would say he simply ran the most successful moderate Republican presidential campaign since Dwight Eisenhower."

Its actually a little dig at Obama.

Robert M. “Mike” Duncan needs to go!

He obviously has no sense of reality.

Bring on Newt!

If Newt is serious the chairman’s on his way out anyway. The RNC would have to be crazy not to take Newt if he really wants it.

It’s a nice way of saying that McCain ran a crappy campaign from the start. BHO flooded the field to get where he got: First taking out Hillary and then finishing with McCain. Liberals and Socialists know that they cannot win at the ballot box as such, so they have to mask and camouflage themselves to trick the voters into thinking they are what they’re not. To put it into perspective, Obama is more liberal that Teddy Kennedy.

A “moderate Republican” who wants to redistribute wealth, raise taxes, bankrupt coal-burning facilities through government penalties, disarm the military, deny medical attention to infants who survive botched abortions, nationalize healthcare, squelch the voice of dissent through Orwellian laws, etc., etc., etc.

But, as recently as a few days ago, I got e-mails from the RNC telling me how bad Obama would be for America.

This nimrod needs to go. No wonder we got stomped.

That's the quote. He's saying that O fooled the electorate.

Well, sure. Obama did run as a moderate. And who let him get away with that? McCain and the RNC.

McCain never would have been nominated in the first place if the RNC hadn’t front loaded the primaries with liberal crossover states. And don’t tell me the RNC “forgot” to do something about that. They did it on purpose, because they were RINOs who wanted a RINO for their candidate.
