(Mod Append, Full Quote)
In all, with Barack Obamas promises to cut taxes, merit pay for public school teachers, and renewed offshore drilling, I would say he simply ran the most successful moderate Republican presidential campaign since Dwight Eisenhower.
In reflection, what has changed since 2004 is not the national philosophy, but the national mood. President-elect Obama leads a center-left party, but he must now govern a center-right nation.
What a Basshole Duncan really is! and this quote sure proves it in Spades! I’m sure even more PROUD of my two autographed Sarah Palin “Balls” than I ever thought I could be. Its turning out, they are more than the Campaign Managers had between all of them totalled UP! Include Ducan in that totalization as well!
YEA!!! SARAH!! COGRATULATIONS SARAH PALIN FROM ALL OF US, REAL REPUBLICANS!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, SARAH!!
That's the quote. He's saying that O fooled the electorate.
Robert M. Mike Duncan needs to go now!
We need Newt!
...say S_C_R, who didn't read the link.
He ran as a moderate Republican, rather than a Socialist. He would never get elected in this great nation — a center-right nation — running as a Socialist or a Marxist.
However, he did fool a lot of people with his spread the wealth nonsense. If he allows the Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010, which he will, he won’t need to institute a tax hike.
But, if he ever does, it will only compound the percentage adjustment upward after the Bush tax cuts expire.
Hmmmm. “. . .we need new blood” A tagline of “MSM vampires. . .” I see a theme. Come on over for a drink of True Blood and we’ll talk.
Not only that, but Newt was stumping with Hillary when she ran for re-election in NY, to sell that bill of goods she wants implemented called nationalized health care.
I did read the link. I even read the About Duncan link. After I read some of the comments here, though, I understand how he might be saying something different, but he didn’t say it very well. I guess I’m not quite ready for subtlety just yet.
Well, sure. Obama did run as a moderate. And who let him get away with that? McCain and the RNC.
McCain never would have been nominated in the first place if the RNC hadn’t front loaded the primaries with liberal crossover states. And don’t tell me the RNC “forgot” to do something about that. They did it on purpose, because they were RINOs who wanted a RINO for their candidate.
Completely concur - and we’d never know when he’d decide to jump some female’s bones - he’s Clinton-lite.
Hello, Newt!
Which is all the more embarrassing that our candidate wasn’t calling him out on it. Sarah did point out Obama’s hypocrisies, but our lead candidate didn’t do what he should have. NO, he was always an officer and a “gentleman”. He left the dirty work up to his VEEP and now they dis her. Shame on them.
