Canada has already banned flouride. Read the warning on the back of your toothpaste...also, Dr. Osmunson = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ys9q1cvKGk&feature=related

You can see the result of too much floride in some children’s teeth which are all blotchy. Imagine what it’s doing to the rest of their little bodies.

flourideIt's spelled fluoride. And as for it being "poison:" Any substance, in sufficient quantities, is poisonous.

They have recently started adding this industrial waste product to our city public water supply. Not taking any chances, we purchased a Berkey water system with PF2 filters added to filter that toxic waste out.

My sister's teeth were horrible. She had five fillings in baby teeth. Her adult teeth were just as bad.
Then we moved to a city with Fluoridated water. She had a huge improvement.
My hubby's family didn't have fluoride in the water. MIL gave them tablets.
My kids get fluoride and that's fine with me.

The move to add fluoride to municipal water systems is part of the Communist constpiracy to weaken our nation so Commies and Islamists can take over America and turn our Nation into an atheistic, Communist, Islamic state.

I’m not convinced. What about some scientific studies, rather than conjecture? Salt is poison too, if you take too much.
The pea-sized amount of toothpaste they warn not to swallow? Don’t you think the lawyers stuck that in to cover them no matter what?
I’ve lived most of my life in Grand Rapids, the first city to fluoridate water. Haven’t noticed anything, except maybe better teeth.

Drinking water is a poison, or have you forgotten the Wii radio contest where a lady drank herself to death? In order to use the word poision you need to relate it to dosage. The choline added to drinking water is much more poisonous than fluoride as related to dosage. There are people that use their PHD and MD degree to sell books, DVD about fluoride to make money off of you. Fear sells, Fluoride, Big Foot, UFO and Halloween. Perhaps I can sell you some old scary movies?

I don't need or want any government adding anything to my water. God made water without fluoride and thats good enough for me. Not to mention that ones own teeth is their own responsibility and not the governments.

When I grew up we had well water with a high fluoride content. Yes, our teeth were not blazing white, they had a very slight mottled appearance. I never had a cavity until I moved away from home and used unfluorided water.

This has been tried for years, and every administration has kept the poison in the water. Tranquilizer? Probably. I wonder if McCain or Obama will take action on it. Besides, you know it’s not real from its support from the dental industry—the last people around who want less cavities in children or adults. But enough anger from me, I feel too tranquil to type any more.

Feels like I am back in the Eisenhower era with the John Birch Society. Flouride has shown through extensive testing that it is not harmful and provides great benefits to children’s teeth.

I don't know where to start...the same old hysteria all over again. There are plenty of places in this country that have naturally occurring fluoride in the groundwater. Optimum fluoridation levels for public water systems are .7-1 ppm(parts per million). Higher levels will probably cause mottled enamel. They're finding out now that many cases of mottled enamel are not due to fluorosis, but overuse of the antibiotic Amoxicillin. The reason they warn of injesting more than a "pea-sized" amount of toothpaste is not only due to the fluoride, but also the other ingredients in the toothpaste that can be toxic when ingested. Be especially careful when using the Chinese made toothpaste you bought at the dollar store...they tend to use ethylene glycol(antifreeze) as a sweetener rather than propylene glycol. Fluoridated water only affects teeth that haven't FORMED yet.(It gets into the enamel matrix and makes it more dense, hence more resistant to plaque acids.) Flouridated water has NO effect on the teeth that are visible in your mouth. Fluoride MOUTHWASH has a topical effect to prevent cavities because it is much more concentrated than fluoridated water. I live in PA, and our lovely Governor, "Fast Eddie" Rendell signed a law requiring communities of more than 500 households to have the water supply fluoridated. If anything, this will only serve to be a huge economic burden on many communities. Fluoride vitamins come in bottles of 180 tablets or less. That way, even if a child accidentally eats the whole bottle, it is less than the toxic dose. BTW, if your child accidentally injests too much fluoride, give them milk. The fluoride will bind to the calcium.
