Well, while this election was a milestone for me, personally, the turn-out is going to be a record for sure. I do believe we will get a turn-out almost as good as the Iraqis did. I wouldn’t have believed the lines would have been as long as they were this morning when the polls opened. We went an hour early and there was already a fairly long line but it was nothing compared the line as we were leaving. It went out of the building and wrapped around the parking lot. Don’t know which party has an advantage, if either one does, from a larger than normal turn-out. McCain is supposed to be above 60% and Obama is supposed to be below 40%. Let’s hope the extra people are not all Barry-O voters.

I waited one hour, from 7:15am to 8:15am, to vote. There definitely has never been this high of a turnout in L.A. Normally, high turnout benefits Republicans. In this locale, that is reversed. We’ll see what the final numbers are.

Was I ever blessed. Once I had voted and gone to the 7-11 for coffee, etc., I walked out and smack into a Marine in full dress uniform, so I was able to thank him as representing my prime reason for, and cause of, voting!!!!
