I know this is a tough question without knowing my grades and test scores, but I was wondering:
Does anyone know which law schools have a good reputation and are known to be more conservative?
I am always open to learning new ideas and all of that, but I know I would feel a little more comfortable knowing where the professor's heads are.
Any suggestions?
There’s one Hugh Hewitt teaches at down in Orange, California. Forget the name. I think it is Christian too.
My husband’s a Notre Dam Law grad. Excellent reputation. A top-tier university (very selective). Very conservative. And a beautiful campus. You need an LSAT score of at least 170. Go for it!
I meant “Notre Dame.” Apparently my finger missed the “e”.
Regent in Virginia Beach is about as conservative as you can get.
George Mason University in Burke, Va and Pepperdine in Malibu are two that come to mind.
I think it’s Chapman.
Check out the “Future Lawyers” tab on my website (the one in my tagline). I’d be happy to talk to you offline. Send me a FReepmail if you want to discuss. Godspeed!
Pepperdine University and Regent University are conservative leaning.
If North Carolina suits your tastes, Campbell University has a fantastic law school. It is a small Baptist university just south of Raleigh. Check the following link for a little more wiki info. I went through their Trust Management program and wish I had taken the time to go to law school there.

I wouldn’t base my law school choice on whether or not the school is conservative or not. Instead, go to the very best school you can get into. You won’t have many friends while you’re there, but when you graduate, you’ll be able to fight the liberals at their own game with equal credentials. Just be careful and don’t drink the kool-aid while you’re there!!!
Look into the Law School at the University of Oklahoma. They have at least some conservative professors there, and here in Oklahoma, even Libs tend to be more conservative.
After you’ve looked at them all, pray!
George Mason Law School is what you’re looking for. GMU is in Fairfax, but the law school is located in Arlington near the Virginia Square subway stop. It’s a great law school, and not only because I went there.
The most important thing here is to know what state you plan on taking the bar and practicing in. It would also help to know what type of law you are interested in practicing.
Those should be the most important things to consider when choosing a law school.
Just pick the school you want, and become an active member in the Federalist Society. Sponser debates and symposiums with representatives of other groups.
Ave Maria is conservative. I think they are moving to FL this year from Ann Arbor.
Also, make sure you consider joining the Christian Legal Society student chapter at your school, especially if you end up at a secular institution. Their website is clsnet.org
I second Campbell Law School!! As far as you scored at least a 158 or so on your LSAT, you shouldn’t have a problem getting in.
Good luck to you!!!
