Can someone tell me why McCain is not buying prime time television? Why is Obama? Isn't the Republican Party able to buy/afford to purchase McCain's message for prime time?
Does anyone know?
Sort of angry about this. I think it will give Obama an unfair advantage.

I listen to Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin every single day.
That is the radio line-up where I live.
Or maybe they don’t see a need to be spending money on Mr Campaign Finance Reform. I think a lot of McCain’s money woes are sleeping in the bed he made, he’s the guy that said money had influenced him, he’s the guy that hammered through a law to treat all campaign donaters like criminals, and now he’s the presidential candidate getting out spent to epic proportion.
But he could still be the Marlins to Obamas Yankees. We’ll find out in a week.
IMHO, I wonder if anyone will really watch who is not already decided, His fan club ( his flock ) will be there, but I don’t know if it will sway any of the undecided
It is merely the Obama Sham Wow commercial. Actually I would prefer Vince the Sham Wow guy over Obama.

It’s mindboggling that this can happen in our country. Yesterday Megyn Kelly reported that at DoJ the contributions to Obama are running roughly $250 K...for McCain- $85 K...
Now- WHO is expected to investigate all this crap? DoJ...
I'll bet most of the money is coming out of Dubai - funneled through Europe. Maybe the FBI should pull some of it's people off the ACORN mess and put them on this ... Obama's boys know the game - (AVCS = Address Verification Service) - stunning.

I work for an online retailer, and my job is to monitor online marketing, but to also go through the online cart and look for AVS failures, then try to determine if they’re legitimate fraud, or just mistakes, typos, or failure of the AVS system to recognize an address (AVS system doesn’t seem to do well with number on number addresses.)
Anyhoo, when I read they had turned off AVS I could hardly believe it. Every stolen cc # in the country could be used to contribute to his campaign and they wouldn’t be flagged.

At best, I think it's a wash. Obama preaches to the faithful for 30 minutes. Everyone else watches Law and Order reruns.
More likely, though, I think that it's going to make some people mad. I'm a political junkie, and I'm getting tired of seeing these yutzes on TV every 5 minutes. I'd imagine that Joe 6-pack feels the same way, perhaps more so.
A distant, but serious possibility is that Obama really puts his foot in it with a stupid statement that the media can't kick under the carpet. Biden can make gaffe after gaffe on the campaign trail, but since there's only 50 or 100 people turning out to see him, it's easy to ignore. Not so much with a national ad buy on all of the major networks.

I totally agree that this is going to backfire. I think he’s going to annoy a HUGE block of people. People don’t sit down in the evening, after a hard day of work, to watch some dude talk about himself for half an hour. How annoying. I think this is going to tick off a lot of people.
It’s grand-standing, which is going to just rub a lot of people the wrong way. I’m glad McCain is not doing it.

If he wishes to pay taxes on the remaining funds, he may do so at any time.
What makes me angry and believe a few people in my office are angry too is that he preaches “spread the wealth” and then turns around and then spend one million dollars to each of the networks that will air his 1/2 hour infomercial.
That’s about $4 million dollars he can give to his destitute and homeless pals or clean up the crime his in Chicago’s backyard.
And he’s delaying our beloved TB Rays win over the Phillies. In this Tampa FL office that is unforgivable!!!
