Can someone give me, in a few sentences, why Obama’s Birth certificate is suspect? Is there evidence that the mother was out of the country, etc? Why do conservatives like Boortz and Hannity warn us off the trail saying it’s a loser? There is so much interest here, I am just curious what the case for his being foreign born is—thanks!

To put it in simple terms:
1. Obama’s Kenyan grandmother, according to multiple sources, witnessed Obama’s birth in Kenya.
2. There are different copies of obama’s ‘birth certificate’ that look different.
3. Obama is documented to be a citizen of Indonesia [and Islamic BTW — at least technically as a child. No one I know of knows when/where he was baptised back into Christianity.] And he refused to show evidence that his passport is in order while he was a dual citizen. That would make him a citizen of Indonesia and an illegal alien.
4. At this late date, his stonewalling would make people instantly suspicious of any papers popping up that supposedly vindicate him. He’s clearly hiding something and buying time.
5. Factcheck.org [the quoted source that ‘proves’ his citizenship] is funded by Annenberg, which has financial ties with both Obama and Ayers — who ran the Annenberg Challenge, funded by the same organization. [I am not claiming that Mr. Annenberg was ever a friend of Ayers. But we a more impartial source would carry more weight.]
The links on this thread back up what I’m telling you. And if you look even deeper into this, it gets worse for Obama.

It’s a radioactive issue. Some things are so hot that high profile conservatives conclude, “It can’t be so because it can’t be so.” Incredulity.
Here’s the happy medium — they could at least say, “I’m tired of all these emails about this. Mr. Obama, please just show them the blasted birth certificate and be done with it. Get these people/kooks off my back.”
I don’t think that sounds unreasonable. Even McCain could go that far safely.
