That guy’s apparently an air-show regular ... At this point, I think somebody has taken a photo of him taxiing, and photoshopped it into a supposed takeoff/landing picture. On landing or takeoff, his canopy is closed. That’s just weird.

that is a picture of a landing, not take-off. that is why the front wheel is not spinning. also, other posters have said open canopy in that situation is normal. in case of ejection, the canopy will be out of the way.

Not necessarily and the nose gear wouldn't be spinning prior to touchdown on landing, which is what is happening; note deployed speed brakes.

Early jet fighters with sliding canopies were able to be flown with the canopy slid back and it was fairly common during landings and takeoffs when egress systems weren't as reliable or capable as they are now.
