W. is a fair and balanced movie, says its creator, Oliver Stone.
I think in this present political state, the real George W. Bush might not approve of this movie, Stone told the Chicago Sun-Times. But this movie tries to understand George W. Bush: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Stone definitely puts the emphasis on the ugly in the film, which opened in theaters Friday. He basically acts as cinematic shrink and psychoanalyzes the parent-child relationship between elder George H.W. Bush and junior George W.
Stone presents the son as a twisted foul-mouthed drunk with a daddy complex who becomes a religious zealot and accidentally ends up being leader of the free world.

I thought Brando was ridiculous in Apocalypse. It would have been cool if Coppola could have made the deal with his first choice to play Kurtz, Steve McQueen.
are you going to act like Daily Kos
Figure it out and get back to me.
No one has ever accused me of being a Kos Kid before. LOL!
Dont talk down to me. I dont appreciate it.
Look through my posts and you will learn why I joined
I took your advice and it would appear you joined to promote your blog.
a majority here are tolerant of other views,
I am not one of them!
I will not get on a soapbox and defend myself.
Thank you for that. You made a statement and I replied. You have since moved the goal posts with every follow-up post and have now resorted to name calling.
If you dont think that both sides dont engage in voter fraud
Why, I never said I didnt. I merely asked you to provide proof of your claim. As I stated before, I have been tracking voter fraud for a number of years and have yet to find a case where evidence was provided and prosecution ensued against the republicans. If you can present such proof, please do so. Otherwise you are simply making bogus claims.
dont automatically smear them
Dont tell me what to do!
unless you are a Bush cheerleader
We are called Bushbots around these parts.
they have every right making a critical statement of a particular decision without being tarred and feathered by you.
If they (you) have every right than I also have every right. It works BOTH ways in a truly FREE society. We have not become Obamaland, YET.
That will be all. In the words of a dearly departed FReeper; Dismissed!
Like I said, there is no accounting for taste.
With Stone, the epitome of nutzie anti-Americanism, I draw the line.
What is a movie?
so he resorted to independent financing.... HMMMM... is that where the million dollars stolen from ACORN went?
Sorry but you attacked me first, I have not called you any names, I posed a question, don’t lie about me, that is not my blog, it is a friend’s blog and you obviously did not read my posts because you would have clearly seen why I joined.
I respect our President, OK, I may disagree with some of his decisions but I respect the office and the man, you can say what you want but I will correct any lies said about me.
I never accused you of being a Kos kid, I asked if you were going to act like them, big difference.
Sorry but you are not making much sense, I made a statement and immediately I was branded a Bush hater, when did I infringe on your rights, I just said that you shouldn’t call people out just because they might not agree with everything you say.
But since that was your last post to me, I won’t have to worry about any more attacks, thank you.
You said you are not tolerant of other views, that is fine, it is still not going to stop me from correcting any judgements of my character.
Think of it this way, I will use an analogy that is in no way comparable to our little chat.
McCarthy could call out Citizen X and say he is a communist because he made an anti-government statement. Citizen X says, no Senator McCarthy, you are acting like a true communist by making judgements of me based on something I said.
McCarthy stands up and says, you see that, Citizen X wants freedom of speech, he thinks he has the right to be critical of this government, but he is denying my rights, he is saying I have no right to question him, the nerve of Citizen X.
