Thursday 11am - A UFO witness from Brinkhill, Louth says he is worried about being abducted by aliens after repeatedly seeing triangle-shaped aircraft near his home He said: "I have been watching these space ships for six weeks now, and saw eight together on September 25 and more again last night. It was really spooky and I can say for sure that any explanation these are just Chinese lanterns is ridiculous."

He’s shredded Sagan and a host of other debunkers rather handily with 3/4ths of his brain tied behind his back.

Step away from the bong, son.

Friedman wouldn't have equated to one of Klass's stool samples.

That’s right. Implanted thoughts from aliens will not affect publicity seekers. Why is that?

Absence of evidence about the conspiracy just reaffirms the power and control that the conspiracy wields.

That's something I've never quite understood.

When younger, I loved to read, also liked ghost story type stuff, and went through more than my share of flying saucer fantasies purchased at the drug store (then called SuperX). But even kids eventually figure out when they're being lied to.

“Implanted thoughts from aliens will not affect publicity seekers.”

That would make one hell of a bumper sticker. May I quote you, sir?

I'm with you. These are "ours"... if by "ours" you mean "made by human beings". I'm less sure that they belong to the official U.S. military, however.

Oh, I dunno... there are lots of interesting documents out there, if one knows where to look...

“But even kids eventually figure out when they’re being lied to.”

Yea, but they have Google. I had to schlep it to the library.

Well when it just shows up in a field, I would say it's a natural phenomenon.

I think your assertion about Stanton Friedman

is as off the wall wrong as a lot of other assertions.

Have you ever talked to him personally?

How about for several hours worth?

With a psychologist’s perspective?

So far I’ve managed to take more pictures with my little digital Sony point-and-shoot than with my big DSLR. I’m afraid to take the DSLR anywhere if I’d have to leave it in the car ‘cause it might get stolen. The little Sony I can hide easily.

Bragging again, Quix?

How can anyone that's supposedly a psychologist not have basic critical thinking skills? You gobble all this crap up like candy.

I’m going on 53, so I didn’t have Google either. One of the single best things I ever did was find a book in the library by Klass.

The scorn he got, (and still does), from the True Believers eerily parallels the DUng beetles and their Bush derangement.

Had a Maxxum 7000 back in the ‘80’s. Don’t know what the ex eventually did with it. Was only a rank amateur, and didn’t want to invest again in a camera and several lenses for a long while. Back around ‘05 got the itch for another, did a lot of studying at various sites and downloaded a lot of samples. I went with a Canon A510 because it was a “low end” model with manual controls that I could grow with, and it’s exceeded expectations.

A couple of months ago I got an SX100 IS, mainly for more zoom, and it’s close enough to an S5 for my needs. The image stabilizer is no gimmick.

Anyway, I’m ready for those boogermen. :)

“Had a Maxxum 7000”

Me too. Still have it along with my Kyocera digital camera.
I’m loaded for MUFON.

BTW - which Klass?
