Had a Maxxum 7000 back in the ‘80’s. Don’t know what the ex eventually did with it. Was only a rank amateur, and didn’t want to invest again in a camera and several lenses for a long while. Back around ‘05 got the itch for another, did a lot of studying at various sites and downloaded a lot of samples. I went with a Canon A510 because it was a “low end” model with manual controls that I could grow with, and it’s exceeded expectations.

A couple of months ago I got an SX100 IS, mainly for more zoom, and it’s close enough to an S5 for my needs. The image stabilizer is no gimmick.

Anyway, I’m ready for those boogermen. :)

“Had a Maxxum 7000”

Me too. Still have it along with my Kyocera digital camera.
I’m loaded for MUFON.

BTW - which Klass?

Not counting Polraoids and Kodak Instamatics, my first real camera was a Minolta XG-1, followed by a couple X-700s over the years.

I got tired of messing with film and processing but once digital matured a little I decided to try it. I do love the variable ISO and the endless exposures (click click click click!).

Now I just need to work on being better.
