Again, unsecured debt carries a high risk, especially at a time when credit is scarce. Think about giving a neighbor $3,000 when said neighbor has a poor to medium credit history, and you have trouble getting credit yourself, even though you have a solid history.

Complaining about the "banksters" and "foreigners" because you are upset about a 23% APR is sour grapes to me.

Unsecured implies you can not pay it back. Very difficult these days even if you declare bankruptcy.
