Actually, it is. Canada’s only desert is not far from Kelowna, in a place called Osoyoos.
There are rattle snakes all thru the hills in and around Kelowna/Vernon, and as you would know coming from Texas, rattlers like it hot and dry, and come out to play when it is muggy.
That said, South Texas would be a bit warmer.

The same people who see Ogopogo invariably see UFOs.

"I spent every summer of my life in and around Kelowna/Vernon between ages 0 and 19. It was lovely back then probably built up considerably since I saw it last."

Wow... it certainly has built up! That bridge is a floating bridge, and it crosses Okanagan Lake (largest lake in British Columbia). The part in the foreground just past the bridge has always been the “main drag” thru Kelowna, and that was always developed. But it looks like Kelowna has been developed pretty much all the way thru to Winfield...
When I was a kid, much of this was orchard and pasture. Looks like most of that is gone now.

Why do UFO’s have flashing lights? Is that some kind of mandatory interstellar requirement when flying through a planet’s atmosphere?
To: Rebelbase
"Why do UFOs have flashing lights?"

So they dont't crash into each other

I’ve alway’s wondered how UFO’s can travel entire galaxies, slip thru at light speed, dodge black holes, space debris, arrive thru our outer atmosphere without roasting alive, and then somehow need to turn on bright lights to see where they are going once they get to the last few hundred feet?

Kelowna is also the home of the Ogopogo, a Loch Ness-like monster that occupies Okanagan Laka, Kalamalka Lake and Wood Lake.
