British Columbia
Harry had a large UFO incident which took place on August 31, 2008 at approximately 1:30 a.m. when he was on a week's holiday. All of a sudden the object jumped from a stationary position it appeared to rise up and drop down again. He said the object went from a stop, then made about a 20 foot jump into the air in a split second, it jumped again and this time it made an estimated jump of approximately 50 to 60 feet and then it kept jumping at greater distances.

"He figured the UFO was now moving around 500 feet at a time. The object made numerous jumps and Harry wasn't sure if he was able to hear any sound or not. He thought the UFO gave off a swooshing sound, but again he couldn't be completely sure of this. This thing traveled along at an incredible speed. It made a final jump which had it heading straight towards Harry's truck. Pretty much freaking out at this point, Harry said the UFO, with one of the last jumps, landed maybe 100 feet behind the trailer he was pulling. This would have had the UFO hitting the asphalt/road behind him. After this he wasn't able to see the UFO anymore. He said he hit the gas pedal and was out of there. He told me that he had no plans of stopping to check this out and wanted to get out of there as fast as possible....."

Sounds like the fuel line is clogged. They usually take off smoother than that.

Kelowna is also the home of the “Ogopogo”, a Loch Ness-like monster that occupies Okanagan Laka, Kalamalka Lake and Wood Lake.

I should point out that this entire region of British Columbia is a hot, dry area. Maybe because I'm from south Texas, but; I don't think so.

"I should point out that this entire region of British Columbia is a hot, dry area."

Some cryptozoologists believe the Basilosaurus to be the leading candidate for the lake monster reported in Lake Okanagen in British Columbia, affectionately known as Ogopogo. It is also believed to be the most likely candidate as well for the Cadborosaurus reported off the coast of British Columbia, known as Caddy.
Certainly looks hot & dry :-)

I spent every summer of my life in and around Kelowna/Vernon between ages 0 and 19. It was lovely back then — probably built up considerably since I saw it last.

So you are saying, Ogopogo can’t drive his spaceship?

"there is a banana belt up that way in Canada"

West Coasters like to brag that they live in the banana belt of Canada, but the lyrics of the popular 1920s song, Yes, We Have No Bananas, hint at the true story of bananas in B.C. Yes, we can grow bananas on the coast. No, we dont get edible fruit.
