I hope the sarcasm is directed at people who utter such balderdash, anymouse, and not at me! I’ll take it that way since I’ve never seen you post anything I disagree with. :-)

We’re probably looking in most of the wrong places i.e. we’d naturally look for earth-like planets around a star like ours; there are reasons to believe that most of the Earth like planets you’d ever find are going to be around red or brown dwarf stars, and the brown dwarfs have to be hard to find.
