Define "premature death."

Is there a government edict commanding subjects to live to a pre-approved age?

Or do free people determine the course of their own lives?

many people freely choose

Does irony entirely escape you?

You've gone off the deep end. Of course there's no government edict, but that doesn't mean there's no such thing as a "premature death." If I decide to take up BASE jumping, I'm making the choice to take a significant risk of premature death. Most people wisely choose not to take that risk. It's the same with smoking.
