morning all! cold out now but next 5 days will be in 50s & 65 predicted for tomorrow
Got our absentee ballots mailed yesterday & mom & I canceled out each others votes. Had I let her ballot be mailed the way she had it, it would not have counted. It was a double envelope situation & the ballot was to be in the inner envelope. She just had all the ballots alongside the envelope in the mailer. I fixed it for her. Wont have any voter fraud or mis-"anything" in our house.
Might be her last presidential election, but I thought that 4 years ago.
There was snow that accumulated all around us 2-5" yesterday but nothing here. Rain/snow showers were heavy all morning.
It was a week today that I fell & broke my wrist. The cast immobilizes my wrist & elbow so there is no rotation. The fingers stick out of the cast & are swollen & black/blue.
After Bible study last night I put some of the pix from that gorgeous hike in a photo sharer. I have been trying to find a good one so as to not post excess pix here but still have them available for those interested. This is
Picasa - one of Google's offerings. I have email (which I really like) so was already signed up to use, but it is free & easy to use so I hope some of you with photo interest will check it out.
When you go to see someone's gallery, you can use the sliding bar to enlarge or reduce the pix size. You can chose a slide show & adjust time for pix(default is 3 second, which to me is too short for esp reading captions.)
As some one posting pix, it can be a photo journal. There is a location map, space for comments on the gallery & you can put a caption for each pix. There is also option for people to leave comments for each/any pix. I am still a novice with this program but so far find it superior to others I have seen
Here is the link for my outing. It still really isn't complete as I have a lot of captions to add but maybe some of you can register (free) & put your own pix in. Warning. You get a LOT of storage space free but it gets eaten up quickly if you don't reduce pix size . I use a
Fuji Fine Pix program to batch reduce pix after I do the
Picture It editing. They go from 2848 X 2136 (1635kb) to 640 X 480 (40-70 KB). I always retain the larger pix for possible printing & have a lot in storage. Have 5 external hard drives at various levels of full & just purchased one at Office Max for 89 dollars for 500 gig (that is a good deal if you need one to back up.)
