A Poem for New Puppy Owners
Don't smell crotches, don't eat plants.
Don't steal food or underpants.
Don't eat my socks, don't grab my hair...
DON'T RIP THE STUFFING FROM THAT CHAIR!
Don't eat those peas, don't touch that bush,
Don't chew my shoes, what IS this mush?!?
Eat your cookies, drink your drink,
Outta the toilet! Outta the sink!
AWAY FROM THE LITTER BOX, IT'S FOR THE CAT!
(and must you kiss me after that?!?)
Raising a puppy is not for the lazy,
Those rugrats are funny but also quite crazy.
Don't despair through the toil and the strife,
'Cause after three years you'll get back your life!
So let's go for walkies, so you can do your "thing",
And maybe I'll get back my good diamond ring!

That puppy is so sweet! Yep! Looks just like what he’s sayin’, too! He was there first - why should he be the one who has to move. :)

Afternoon, FRiends at Amy's Place.
First, I want to thank you all for the warm sympathy greeting y'all extended to our family regarding Mom's Homegoing. Thank You so very much.
We had a real nice memorial service last Thursday and if I may, I'd like make a few comments and share a couple of pics with y'all.
Mom was a very gifted seamstress... sewing everything from clothes, to draperies, upholstering and toys for all the grandkids and gr-grandkids. Below is an example of her handiwork. We transported 6 Raggety Ann & Andys, 2 Cabbage Patch dolls and a few other items Mom made over the years. We displayed them in the foyer of the funeral home...
Some of you may remember a post I made a few years ago about a bouquet of flowers I gave Mom. Briefly, Mom was allergic to fresh flowers and I always wanted to give her a bouquet of roses, soooo, I went to the rose garden at the park and took pictures of roses in full bloom, placed them in a photo album and presented her with a bouquet.
At the funeral, one of our daughters wrote and delivered the eulogy for her "Nana". I also shared the following story...
Mom had a great love for music. She especially loved to listen to the old hymns of the church. Listening was what she did best, because Mom was tone-deaf and she would be the first to tell you that she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Soooo, I went to the local Christian Book Store and got a couple of tapes of her favorite songs. I got some musical note stickers, placed 'em on a brass bucket, inserted the tapes and gave Mom her very own bucket to carry a tune.
I now have that bucket with a couple of tapes Mom gave me that she knew I would enjoy...
