One of my mantras of late has been, “I thought the Clintons were scary.” If Obama is elected we might end up saying goodbye to the USA.
I join you in prayer.
Not all kittens got in it at once,Some favored lower branches, some higher ..The branches bent and my daughter was constantly reshaping the tree..it was a hassle..I tried to remember to spray around it often as my room was closest to the tree..It did help.
I am considering doing that on the cabinet top of my bookcase so I can do lights in the evergreen swag with ornaments like last year..I’ll spray the carpet in front of the bookcase.. They may climb on the desk and jump over..O My..LOL.
I have thought the same..God help us preserve our great Republic..Many are praying like we are.
I haven’t seen that for years. Forgot how beautiful some of the photos were.
What are you spraying? I know of no cat repellent.
My cats always knock the tree over.
My daughter bought it..I’ll have to check with her..I had Sasay the first use my hand embroidered and sequined tree skirt to urinate on..It was when I had “real” trees ..Perhaps he was marking territory?..He survived..barely..LOL
“Sam and the Firefly”... too cute!
We had our once-a-month book sale at church today, which we do after Masses, and the children’s books are always very popular. I brought one home I couldn’t resist: “Yiddish with Dick and Jane.” Maybe I can learn something:-)
Well, my book reviews and recommendations went over like a wet balloon, huh? Ho hum. You’re all missing out; Fanny Flagg is the best, and we need her positivity right now. That’s all I can say about that!! LOL.
Oooh, I thought that was Maxfield Parrish.
Nice, MEG:-)
I guess you are gone now, Dita, but I did see those book titles you posted yesterday by Fannie Flagg and I truly felt that would be good reading. I think I just got on a few minutes at a time yesterday and I was on when you weren’t and you were on when I wasn’t. You know how it goes sometimes.
Fannie Flagg was a very funny lady in her day. I remember her well being on game shows, etc. Wonder how old she is now?
moving?
golly I have missed something along the way..
My home town is where Edison debuted the lightbulb.
I didn’t tell anyone really. We found a better house with land. Rent to own, zoned M-1 which is the best zoning. I can do anything residential and business wise.
Better late than never.
I didn’t have to wait for it, it was here before me.
Goodnight, and God Bless All FRiends.

Rural Resurrection
Along a cottonwood tree lined road
dusty from the breeze so soft
where the cattails climb to loft
their tips of pollen weighted load
A tricolor black bird sings its song
in a voice as clear as the early dawn
another answers from the miller’s lawn
in a sweet voiced tune that echoes long
The covered bridge creaks in the passing
in counterpoint to the stream below
and in that moment of connection I know
all the feelings in my heart massing
A whisper of the zephyr touches my soul
a caress, soft as watered silk in the night
and I’m transfixed by a beam of morning light
washed by a peace that leaves me gently whole
