I would imagine that if this isn’t done that they will be working all night?

If that happens, don’t ya just know Barry Obama will be needing more cigs. I love it.

How can anyone tell the difference between the dems in office and those who spew on MSNBC.

Not a bit of difference. Interchangeable lies 24/7

Meeting is starting

Somehow I suspect that President elect McCain will offer a solution and personally solve this world crisis.

Hmmm, I guess the only way is to check a list of elected reps.

Obama got totally dusted on this by McCain.

Zero's just another petulant teenager getting dragged to the principal's office. He'll probably get detention too!

I love my old car too, and because of all this I'm keeping it up out of spite, in fact, I'm not gonna buy anything but food for as long as I can.

Speaking of cars;

I think this was Leno or Conan last night;

"Oh, . . my, . . Goawd, . . a rich guy lost money?"

"Gee, how can I help!?"

They crashed their Ferrari and now they're crying to Uncle Sam to get us to buy them a new one."

According to Rush, the Dems announced a quick settlement this morning to avoid McCain looking like the white knight saving the day. Republicans countered later in the afternoon to say no deal was reached.

Rush said that a Republican Congressman announced that the congressional Republicans had not agreed to anything. That no deal had been made. It was close to the end of the show, though, so not much was said about it.

I just confirmed that my Congressman, John Culbertson (R 7th Dist, Tx) officially opposes the bailout. Yes! No word on Texas’ senators, though.

The supremacy of finance capital over all other forms of capital means the predominance of the rentier and of the financial oligarchy; it means that a small number of financially “powerful” states stand out among all the rest. The extent to which this process is going on may be judged from the statistics on emissions, i.e., the issue of all kinds of securities. - Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

NO frikkin deal.

Investigate, identify, incarcerate,...eliminate the legislation and the legislator SCUMBAGS that allowed these trickle-down-criminality SCUMBAGS to operate in this foggy atmosphere.

Has the oligarchy deemed this TOO BIG TO INVESTIGATE/EXPLAIN?

Why are these "WHITE COLLAR" CRIMINALS trying to pull off the biggest heist in America's history?

the problem is....we have been here before. the republican house stays true to conservative principles while the senate and president run over them. if i remember correctly, mccain sides with the senate and president.

I agree with you, I am not enthusiastic about either Bush or McCain. But maybe these House Republicans can shame the other Republicans in Congress into allowing us to take the chips where they fall and then go from there to allow a free market to build. These Republican congressman are putting together an alternative bailout plan that so far looks pretty acceptable to me.
