Wasn’t that something? It’s real loud when you live in a metal box.
As for your leaks... That probably IS something that should be mentioned to the landlord if it happens beyond this weather emergency kind of rain. I’d say you should get up there and look, but *you* probably shouldn’t.
Yes :~)
*snort*
I *think* it will go away. The snow weighed down the roof so that water got in through seams that wouldn’t normally be open, and then that in turn weighed down the ceiling material below the cracks, so they’re pulling down the seam and keeping it open. If they dry out and lighten up, I’ll hopefully be fine.
But yeah, I’ll have to *try* to explain if it continues. Ungh.
Aww...I want....
Coffee machine is on the fritz here.....luckily I’ve got backup.
What do you mean you want...
Kittens... I had :~)
Yeah...as you may recall I wanted those, too. ;-)
Luckily reason won out.
Well, I really appreciate you trying anyway!
I figure even if I have to eventually pay for some sort of 100 dollar converter or something, it’s only the equivalent of 3 months of cable and I don’t even want cable. I figure between the things I can download from places like Hulu and my Netflix movie downloads, and my digital converter box for local news and such...I’ll have more than enough to watch and can watch when I want!
It sure would be nice if I could just use a little $5 cable, though. Ha!
Here’s a hint: NEVER buy a Monster cable. They are overpriced. Just buy a generic cable that will do what you want.
Also, your video card may not be able to output things right. What model is your laptop?
Can you also tell me what your dvd recorder model is? You say it has a usb port, I’m wondering if it’s smart enough to read a video file off a usb device and play that.
Ok...the laptop is a Toshiba L305-S5894 Satellite
Let me go find out what the DVDR is...
DVDR3455H
Philips brand.
I discover USB port work with flash memory and external HDD and usb hub! So I can connect external HDD 500gb, and any flash memory sticks...
I put my movies in folder by name(its cant read file name) and play volume of folder and only AVI file extention (I try DIVX- dont work)
how to:
need connect HDD to unit or try usb hub
press- USB/DV(2time) on remote
will open screen Directory
press ok
select folder name (or just play from volume of HDD)
press dislplay on remote- open menu (for play picture music or video)
on scree select: 1.type- video , 2.trick - play and OK
So I think you should be able to use a little pocket sized usb drive. Do you have one that is at least a gig in size?
Do you know how you would save a movie file in .avi?
Do those instructions there make any sense to you? The key, I think, is that you put the movie or show in a folder labelled with the right name because it can't read the names of files on these devices.
I think she’s talking streaming video, though—not actual files. Is that correct?
Ah. That would be a different beast...
Oh heavens, I love Hulu! I know you'll think ill of me, but I can set up a queue and it will automatically play one Buffy after another! I won't move for hours! LOL!
Think ill of you? Talon and I regularly spend four or five hours on a weekend afternoon playing World of Warcraft, or an evening like last night where we just stuck in a disk of anime for an hour and a half. Why on earth would I criticize anyone else’s hobby?
See my previous post. It is Jan 16th.
