San Diego is lovely and is a jewel on the bay, however, inland just a little ways....it is more desert-like. This time of year, it is hot and dry.

We raised our family there and still have three children living in the area.

This article is so true. The professional politicians and eletists of the media think, in their heart of hearts, they are the only ones capable to making this country run. What they do not realize, or don’t want to think about, is....This country keeps on keeping on in spite of the politicians and presstitutes. It is the small businesses and corporations, the laborer, middle management, and ceos who keep this country going. You and me keep this country going. So why can’t someone from a small town, who’s owned a business, etc, ask fellow American’s help to become the VP of this country. We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, one of which is to vote and help our choice, an ordinary person, to attain the post of Vice President of the United States.

I sent Bob Barr another email telling him to just stop his foolishness and bow out now. I reminded him that he KNOWS he can't win but he can harm McCain/Palin and possibly help elect America's first Socialist/Muslim president. I told him I knew, in his heart of hearts, that he would not want that for his beloved country.

Wasted my time I'm sure, but made me feel better anyhow...

Checking in, good Lords Day everybody. We weathered the tropical storm in fine shape. We got about 3.3 inches of rain since Friday, much better than some that had been predicted.

The winds and rain came through at 2 AM. The howling wind was preventing me from going back to sleep so I reached for my supply of foam ear plugs I always have for festivals and didn’t know anything else until 7 AM.
