Only S&W auto I own is an old ASP conversion Mod 39 that has digested thousands of rounds, mostly 147gr OSM subsonic. It was a Paris Theodore custom way back when..... It holds up well ! My only other combat tupperware are glocks. Everything else in the safe is alloy or steel etc ......

I love S&W wheel guns yet do not own a S&W auto aside from the ASP.

I’ve been thinking about a S&W 357 for the versatility of firing 38 shells. Right now my weapons include my Remington 12g Super Magnum Express and what ever they issue me at the Armory window...
