Slip of the tongue or momentary confusion? In a television interview today discussing his religion, Sen. Barack Obama stated, "My Muslim faith."
Obama, speaking to ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "This Week," was talking about what he described as "smears" that were claiming he was a Muslim when he maintains he is a practicing Christian.
"Let's not play games," Obama stated. "What I was suggesting you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you're absolutely right that that has not come."
Stephanopoulos immediately interrupted Obama, stating, "Christian faith."
"My Christian faith," Obama quickly said. "Well, what I'm saying is that he (McCain) hasn't suggested that I'm a Muslim. And I think that his campaign's upper echelons have not, either. What I think is fair to say is that, coming out of the Republican camp, there have been efforts to suggest that perhaps I'm not who I say I am when it comes to my faith something which I find deeply offensive, and that has been going on for a pretty long time."

Is there anyone left who believes Obama isn't Muslim?
If Obama wins, we’ll know for sure if he’s a Muslim by the book under his left hand as he takes the Oath of Office. Could be a Kodak moment!
Freudian slip?
It’s obvious what he said was “my [alleged] Muslim faith”. He just didn’t say alleged.
So what he meant to say was, "...you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Christian faith."?
Hah?
Most Americans do not realize that Obama’s middle name is Hussein. This would make many uneasy to say the least. We have to get the word out.
So what he meant to say was, "...you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Christian faith."?
Hah?
Kinda like he meant to say the 50 american states and not the 57 muslim states.
It’s obvious that Stephanopolous thought he was saying he was a Muslim or he wouldn’t have corrected him.

Who is that? Barack The Magnificent? Where’s his sidekick Ed McMahon?
“Its obvious what he said was my [alleged] Muslim faith. He just didnt say alleged.”

That is not at all, obvious.
What’s obvious is that Hussein, just as Bill Clinton before him, is a habitual liar.
What did he do when he joined the senate?
I would suspect at this juncture, John McCain would not have to say a WORD about your faith - Obama, my boy, you’ve done it again - you have given us TOO much information.
Clarity is such a useful tool in the hands of the right people. Of course, like a wood chisel, you could gouge yourself pretty badly if it is misused.
They need to bury his sorry behind with this.Talk about a gotcha moment. He stepped in it bigtime with that little slip.
This isn’t a big deal, almost every person I know who was born with the name Barry has changed their name to Barack to prove their Christianity. :)
I guess he needs a teleprompter for interviews too. What a dolt.
he’s right. it all depends on what the muslim word means.. if by muslim faith you mean christian faith, then yes he is a muslim... lol
