If that is the best they can come up with, especially knowing the “Maverick’s” voting record, then the Dems are toast. That’s it. Game Over.
I said that the moment I heard of her nomination, I think I said ....and after the announcement, the sound you heard was the political aspirations of Mitt, Huck, Rudy, and Obama all swirling down the drain.
Yes, Rush should be something special tomorrow... I can’t wait to hear the clips from Rudy and Sarah’s speeches again.
I’m really happy that McCain chose Palin, and I’m happy and pleased that some of us here have been talking about her for many weeks - but could barely even hope that McCain might ever pick her. Maybe that’s why we’re so happy... McCain gave us a reason to support the ticket, as opposed to just voting against that vile Obama creature.

There was a story on FR about this over the weekend and I think the main point of it was that at one time she was for accepting the federal dollars. Maybe search on the word “bridge”. It was during the attack Sarah’s kid phase, so I don’t know about the accuracy.

Also, the fact is...it does play well outside the hall, because she is easy to relate to, and she can give a strong speech and take jabs at her opponent, but do it in a way that’s appealing to the average person. With a pleasant smile.
