What Should Sarah Palin Say in Her Speech Tomorrow Night? (Vanity)

Posted on 09/02/2008 10:13:15 PM PDT by GOPinCa

Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on what Sarah Palin should or will say tomorrow night. Does she go on the attack, does she take on each and every smear, does she ignore it. Does she make a side by side comparison to her resume and accomplishments compared to Obamas? Does she say that the media has attacked her daughters record more then it has Joe Bidens? Thoughts?

I believe she will and should give a speech much like the ones she's already given. Full of information, ignoring the smears, and showing the loons on the left the strength of her character and convictions. Let's all be praying for her and asking God to give her the words and the strength to give the speech of her life. After all, we are in a fight for our very existence as a country right now.

Sports coaches are used to feeding a team in need of uplifting spirit the requisite challenging words, Sarah Palin has the skill to put the nail in the coffin of the MSM. But she won’t do it with this one speech, but they will upon hearing her speech know that their days are numbered. When you have leaders like her, you don’t need “jouralists” to interpret what she said because her words do not need interpretation (or spin) because they are factual, complete and true. The press is doomed, thank God, the public is tired of the deceit and evil manipulation of the truth.

I think most folks have a very romantic view of Alaska. The tv shows have tapped into that with Ice Road Truckers, the Deadly Catch, and others.

I think that could tie into her attributes, but obviously not to make it into “Alaskan’s are better than everyone else”.

Rugged individualism - not afraid to take on old-time cronism, even if it is in your own party.

The people’s rights. Her higher taxes on the oil companies were to amend the outdated and perhaps improper deal that they had got years ago. In Alaska’s constitution it is the citizens (through the state I imagine) that have ownership of the mineral rights - hence their annual checks.

States rights. I’m sure there are many examples of the State of Alaska fighting for their own state - with most of the land (62%) owned by the Federal government.

Moral code. The old-fashioned rules of the frontier - where an honest person’s handshake is worth more than a lawyer’s document.

Family and friends - working together and taking care of your own (Don’t need to bring it up specifically - but this ties in to her daughter’s pregnancy). Brings up imagery of Little House on the Prairie, and not big government coming in to save the day.

Oh - I remembered that last show - “Everything’s Tougher in Alaska”.

“And finally my fellow Americans - do not be dismayed at what some consider attacks on me and my family. A grizzly bear coming at you through dense willows, a blizzard delaying your plane a week as you try to deliver much-needed supplies to a native village. Those are things to be concerned about. But not mere words. Remember - everything’s tougher in Alaska - including its people.”

Susan Estrich? I didn’t know that it was possible to pick actual words and sentences out of that putrid stream of venomous bile that emits from that craw she has where other people have mouths.

“What are you thinking - that she may be singing “I’m a Woman, Hear me Roar”?”

I think Palin’s pitch for Hillary voters last Friday was too crudely explicit, and backfired. Have you seen the polls? Palin needs to sell herself as a leader, which she genuinely is, and stop talking like an affirmative action pick. I never heard Margaret Thatcher talk about how important it was to become the first woman Prime Minister; If she had, she never would have become PM.

Governor Palin should say something to this effect:

The vice presidency may not have been worth a bucket of warm piss to John Nance Garner, but it’s going to worth at least a big can of whoop ass once I’m through dealing with the liberal pansies in the Democratic party and their patsies in the media.

Agreed. I don’t want an “I’m a woman” speech.

Sarah Palin just needs to tell us how she and John McCain are going to solve our national problems. She should present herself as a strong executive leader, not as some affirmative action pick trolling for Hillary voters, or aggrieved victim seeking redress from the evil media ( and they are evil!). We want to hire our own Iron Lady, and she needs to act the part!

That’s so much bull, it’s funny.

Mac nor Gov. Palin would NEVER give in, NEVER give up, or NEVER get out. These are two people who are built with intestinal fortitude the likes of which libs only read about, and that is only when they read about a Conservative.

I read that background report today. I’m even more impressed with Gov. Palin now than before. It clearly demonstrates that she makes the tough decisions, that she accepts responsibility for her actions and policies, that she does, in fact, walk the walk.

She is common sense, and pragmatic, all the way. Looking at the policies she placed in force, the decisions she’s made, tells one she is NOT in any one’s pocket, not “bent” to a predetermined outcome, has an open mind, and yes, she even crosses the aisle on occasion, too.

From all accounts, she certainly does care about people and Community over personal opinion and feelings.

I’m all in, for Palin! Oh, and Mac, too.

I'd like to introduce my family, but I see that you already know them, down to their chromosomes, social security numbers, and library cards.

Kristol on Sarah Palin, Hockey Mom

McCain aides whose judgment I trust are impressed by Sarah Palin.
One was particularly amused by this exchange:

A nervous young McCain staffer took it upon himself to explain to Palin the facts of life in a national campaign, the intense scrutiny she'd be under from the media, the viciousness of the assault that she'd be facing, etc.:

Palin: "Thanks for the warning. By the way, do you know what they say the difference is between a hockey mom and a Pit Bull?"

McCain aide: "No, Governor."

Palin: "A hockey mom wears lipstick."

I think she should say who she is and what she has done for Alaska and what she stands for. What she will do for America!

Snip from speech:

...... "Have you no decency?

To laugh and rejoice that a hurricane is going to hit America,

Have you no decency?

To say that I am not the mother of my beautiful son Trigg,

HAVE... YOU... NO... DECENCY?

There is change coming to Washington, and the angry left is no longer just angry...they are scared.

Scared that the pigeonhole they have tried to place women in is changing.

Scared that American soccor moms, or in my case hockey mom, will also be security Moms.

Moms that know the importance of locking the doors at night, that also know the importance of controlling our borders.

Moms that balance the checkbook, that also know you can't just keep spending.

Expectant Moms that know that the life inside them is a human life, with a beating heart, with a right to life."

what Sarah Palin should......say tomorrow night.

She should say:

"First of all, Ladies and Gentlemen, let me say that I love my family. I love my entire family; including my 17 year old daughter upon whom the Democrats and the liberal, left-wing media and political blogs, have heaped excruciating pain and grief, these past few days.

And they did so by putting her through unbearable mental stress by violating her most precious asset, her privacy. You have, for political gain, shamed and defamed her before the world at a time in her life when she is dealing with a life-changing decision she made regarding the baby she is carrying in her womb because of a very bad choice she made, out of immaturity and opposition to the values espoused and taught to her by her father and me.

But, my family and I will weather this storm and we will hold our heads high while doing so because we are walking the walk and living the principles in which we believe; one of those principles being the sanctity of life for the unborn.

Yes, we will be fine but to those of you who thought you could bring us down with your scurrilous, unfounded attacks, let me say to you: You don't know what it's like to get into the arena with an Alaskan, Hockey Mom. But, you're about to find out, so, get ready to hit the mat."

Really?

Tell us about your knowledge of Maggie Thatcher’s rise to the top in UK politics.

Details, details details. Please. Because Thatcher’s gender WAS a component of her success if I DO RECALL! She won the “mums” factor if I do recall.

Prove me wrong. Go back to 1977 LOL.
