I stopped listening to Dr Laura when I heard her recommending that some woman divorce her husband. Can’t remember the reason, but seemed pretty trivial to me. Course what the hell do I know I’m just a typical man.
so you would posit that a staunch Christian family, with a stay at home mom, never produces an out of wedlock pregancy. BS. people are fallen. that is reality.

i don’t blame dr. laura for putting her in the position she is in. Bristol is bearing the consequences for her own actions. in spades. and her mother as much as said so, in her statement. what i blame dr. laura for is opining on a situation that she herself experienced. no one forced her to opine, and so if her nude pix past is thrown in her face, maybe she should reconsider judging lest she be judged.
I think Schlessinger is often right about the need for America to return to the basics in our dealings with each other. I see her as a strict adherent to the Ten Commandments. And that isn’t a bad thing.
That being said, mindless robots who follow her every word and see her as gospel are forgetting that compassion and understanding are called for when it comes to the treatment of this seventeen year old child.
The baby is a fact, the mother and father are marrying, and the grandparents are proud of their daughter for deciding to go through with the pregnancy.
The clock can’t be turned back.
All anyone can do is move forward and make the best of the situation.
I can hear Dr. Laura saying, “If you get pregnant as a teenager you must get married, give the child two parents and create a family. That is your responsibility, and you have no other choice!”
"Dr. Laura", like the rest of us, is not qualified to judge anyone about anything. "Dr. Laura" doesn't have enough facts about Bristol Palin, her life, her circumstances, anything to sit in judgment of her whatsoever.
So instead of publicly praising the girl for doing the respectable and moral thing - marrying the father of the baby and giving birth to the child, which, you would think, would be right up "Dr. Laura"'s moral alley, she's going to step up and condemn Bristol? Where does she get the nerve? Instead of praising her for not taking the easy way out and killing the baby, "Dr. Laura" feels it's her place to sit in judgment and condemnation??????
Oh, and one more thing - if there is anyone to whom Bristol needs to go to for forgiveness, it is God - not any human being.
"Dr. Laura" needs to get off her high horse. Nobody appointed her Grand Marshall of the Ministry of Vice and Virtue.
Has she ever ranted about working fathers? Like Obama, Like Biden, Like McCain. Let me quess—no. She is working. How dare her?

Dr. Laura is out of balance. She is more interested in justice than mercy. Mercy is preferred in the Biblical way, thank Goodness. Dr. Laura needs to contemplate what Jesus Christ did for us when He gave His life. That’s all.
And, is she going to tell us she wasn’t having sex with the BOYFRIEND [NOT husband] that was taking those disgusting, spread eagle photos?
