I should be doing other things, but I became hopelessly distracted by a butterfly in the backyard, then a hummingbird came along. I couldn't help myself. I went in and got my camera and followed these two beauties around my lilac tree as they flitted from flower to flower.

I thought they were too pretty not to share with my friends as Amy's Place. A hummingbird and a butterfly competing for summer's last precious drops of nectar....

Now, I will go back to work, until some other irresistible thing grabs my attention. ;-)

I cannot tell you how beautiful the pictures are! Amazing...how lucky to get two beauties like that in a day! You are a great photographer.

By the way, I finallly got the pictures loaded on my third attemp. There was a step I was leaving out. I’m tired today for some reason. I haven’t been too busy because I didn’t want to be busy for a day. I owe it to myself. LOL!

Wonderful pictures, Lori. We used to see those butterflies all the time, but I hardly ever see them anymore. They are so pretty and that little hummer is so cute.

Beautiful pics, Mama! Reminds me of a children’s song, don’t know why.

All of God’s children got a place in the choir, some sing low, some sing higher, some sing out loud from a telephone wire.

That’s all I know of it! I’m the world’s worst for only remembering snatches of songs!
