I just bought my second HP all in one, a Laserjet MK1319F MP. It is a ferociously complex machine that can require attention. There are drivers for each function and it is possible that there can be problems.
I am on my third go round with HP e mail tech support to get the computer to talk to the HP fax setup program. It will communicate for some fax functions but not for all. Everything else seems to work ok
On my earlier machine, the problem was scanning and the HP tool box. It also took several go rounds to get it to work. It also worked much better with the bus than with the parallel cable.
E mail is pretty good. Phone support with the same HP guy failed to communicate

Ya know...this HP all in one was installed at the same time I got this computer and has worked perfectly since day one. The computer began to have difficulties when McAfee tried to install an upgrade (about 10 days after I got the computer). I STILL THINK MY PROBLEM ORIGINATED WITH MCAFEE! But, will anyone listen to me...duh? Trust me, once this McAfee runs out, I will go back to AVG.
