It was a non-event for us too in LaPorte. We had about 4 inches of water standing in the street and that was about it. There was lots of wind but nothing earth-shattering. Lost power, went to Louisiana (my son was 10 days old), got a phone call when we got there that the power had come back on so we visited a few minutes and drove back home. It was my ex-husband’s first hurricane.

Always good to “see” you, Texas. Today was the fifth day I ran a chainsaw, chopping up Fay’s mess here. No real damage, except for the tree that wrecked the wellhead at my late MIL’s place out in the country. Plumber swears “I’ll get to it soon as I can!”
