If you say Barry's half white, you're a racist.

On this note, in Dreams of My Father, Barry referred to a quote of Malcolm X that "spoke" to him and "stayed with him." Obama said, "He spoke of a wish he'd once had, the wish that the white blood that ran through him, there by an act of violence, might somehow be expunged." So, does this resonate with Barry because he somehow considers his mother's act of sex as a minor with his black adult father to have been an act of violence against his father that resulted in his having "white blood" running through him that he wanted to be expunged? The fact that he made the guy into a hero to be longed for in print, the guy who abandoned him and his underaged mother as opposed to those people, whether white or Indonesian, who actually took care of him gives us a clue.
