Bill Luckett who is Freeman's Mississippi based attorney and business partner confirmed that the pair have been separated 'for legal and practical purposes' since December 2007.
The 71 year-old actor was involved in a serious car accident in Mississippi three days ago in which his car flipped several times.

Wow, if they’ve been separated since December, what’s to get so upset about? It sounds likely that they were trying to do it quietly, but had to admit the impending divorce because he had a female companion.

Why should we care about Morgan Freeman ? Has he done something significant (Hollywood usually doesnt count, Charlton Heston, Clint Eastwood, and Ronald Reagan types excepted ...).
Sheesh you can’t use current folks. You have to go back to the stone ages. There are many great current folks who do great work...republican Angelina Jolie comes to mind immediately.
