Open carry is legal in PA as well, so I pretty much forget it’s there. If it prints, I don’t care, I’m legal no matter if it’s concealed, printing, or if my shirt rides up over it. I always wear it concealed, but it seems that 99% of people don’t wouldn’t notice a fire engine about to run them down so I don’t worry about it.

It's a bad habit to get into. Yes, you are legal in most areas in PA, but not all.

Do you ever carry into a Post Office? You're not allowed to, and if anybody noticed, then you potentially are in trouble

If you are in Philadelphia and you ever took a shortcut through Independence Park (where they have the Liberty Bell), guess what? It's federal land, and your permit is no good, and if one of the park police notices, then you're in trouble. In PA, you are also not allowed to carry in state parks (unless you are in a vehicle)

It's quite likely that you will find yourself inadvertently carrying into or through some area where you're not supposed to, in which case it would be good for you if your status was not noticed

I know exactly where I can and can’t legally take my firearm, and act accordingly. For example, I’ll be extra careful around post offices (which I only visit maybe 3 times a year), I don’t go to court houses, and I’ve sworn to never go near Philadelphia at all.

If I’m walking through Home Depot or my local grocery store, my shirt or jacket’s covering it but I don’t worry about it printing at all.

Diggler:

Aside from the fact that the Second Amendment IS my “carry permit”...(I’ll let that one alone - for now (Ha!))...

...Discretion IS the better option in areas such as PapaBear3625 mentioned above. Remember - the enemy still controls the law to one degree or another (for now) in many places (especially Philly - Chief Thugramsey is a real tool, and Mayor Thugnutter is a fascist A**hole).

You can argue rights this and rights that all you want, but if you’re sitting in a jail cell, it gets you exactly ZERO. You can be more effecitve out here, recruiting as many “carriers” as you can.

Make it a goal - introduce at least TEN people to shooting, take them to the range, etc., (especially kids, if possible). Then you become TEN TIMES as effective. And you piss in the gun-grabbers faces by multiplying OUR numbers. A noble goal, to say the least....

Once you wake people up to their right to PROTECT THEIR OWN LIFE, you empower them to BE Citizens - probably for the first time in their lives, they’ll come to understand just exactly what Liberty is, and why it’s worth fighting for, and more importantly - WHO the REAL enemy is.

I’ve carried open in PA at times too, with little harrassment; but I’ve decided to fight for THAT particular hill another day.

Stay safe brother, and stay in the fight. We need every street soldier we’ve got, and sitting in jail doesn’t accomplish the mission...
