[Soaring Feather]

Greetings,

The Dragonflies’Lair, has been my pride and joy for five years, however, after pondering over the last year of whether to continue, or close, it is my decision to close.

We are no longer a vibrant poetry thread, thus my conclusion to close. Poetry threads ebb and wane, this is the case for The Dragonflies’Lair.

Thank you, all for your support and contributions to The Lair. I wish for my dream to die a graceful death and it shall be so. This was not an easy decision to arrive at, but it is the correct decision.

I will be leaving FR with this last action of closing The Lair.

Thank You, I wish happiness for you all.

A poem from the past (updated):

Day of Fright
As we enter into the night
With a continual diminishing of light
We contemplate the news that we received today
That our Soaring Feather has gone away

For such a loss of a guiding hand
To all the poets in the Lair that form a tiny band
We liken it to that of a boat that has no steering
In a poetry sea with thunderous waves careening

We wish as lost souls that our Feather would not depart
For she has a special place in our heart
As for me, I am being selfish
For I give her a “Good Luck” wish
