I’ve just been reading my pings/trying to respond—ha,ha.
Been doing some canning/freezing. That on top of all the usual stuff... I have GOT to clean my house. Tomorrow. I’m going to do it tomorrow. Yeah, that’s it—manana.
Greenhouse is cranking up again with fall stuff. All we’ve been doing is watering and watering...and watering. It is hard to keep cool season stuff alive in the middle of Aug when it’s 99 and the heat index is 110. Couple more weeks and we’ll be through the worst of it.
Great day to celebrate!
(((((hugs back!)))))

Hi dita, long time no see!
Isn't Polka music happy music? I've never danced the Polka, but it would be fun to learn. San Pedro is near Long Beach, isn't it? Seems to me that is where the cruise ships dock. I don't know the LA area very well, but I think I have been to San Pedro a couple times. All the towns run together down there....at least in my mind they do.
A Polish festival sounds like lots of fun.

Whats in it? Can it be had here in West Texas? :D I 'magine! :) It's a Cuban drink that's so refreshing - love the mint flavor. :)
Here's a recipe to give you a list of ingredients from scratch, but I've made it, using the Mojito Mix (instead of the sugar syrup), and just adding the mint leaves & lime to the rum & club soda:
1.5 oz BACARDI Rum
12 fresh spearmint leaves
1/2 lime
7 oz club soda
2 tbsp. simple syrup
(or 4 tsp. sugar)
The coolest summer drink recipes from the hottest bars always include
Bacardi mojitos. Follow us step by step through our no-fail mojito
cocktail recipe and mix up the sparkle for your party.
For the smoothest summer cocktails, gently crush mint leaves and lightly
squeeze lime in a cool tall glass. Pour sweet syrup to cover and fill glass
with ice. Add Bacardi Rum, club soda, and stir your emerging mojito well.
Garnish with a lime wedge and a few sprigs of mint.
