Thank you for the YouTube link and the lyrics, Yorkie.
Brings back good memories of time gone by.
I do too! But today was just boring ol' grocery shopping and a stop at the drug store for some prescriptions. Not fun at all.
See you later, MB.
Did you buy anything exciting?
LOL. NO. But I did plunk down $154.00 for ONE prescription. That kinda got my heart racing a bit. ;-)
I love that song so much....almost made me cry~~
Thank you, yorkie!
.
* smile *
That was cute, Yorkie. Thank you for sharing.
I was born on Sunday and it was Easter Sunday. Eleven years later, my birthday fell on Easter again and then in my early twenties, again and I can’t tell you the rest. Just didn’t keep up like I should have. My Dad’s birthday was the day before and he wanted me to come so bad that day but I didn’t. He said I was stubborn then and continued to be stubborn. Thats not true of course and he liked to josh with me!
Good evening, Luv.
Thank you for the link.
How sweet!
Thanks for sharing that sweet story, NnB.

Yes, you are, Billie! One of the sweetest hearts here, on Amy’s Place!!
Good evening, Jaycee.
We are leaving about noon tomorrow. Our son does all the driving. He’s taking 6 days vacation, starting tomorrow. We will pick up a rental car and hopefully get out of here about noon.
Thank you for the good vacation wishes. I’m sure we will have a nice time. It will be great to get away for a few days. If possible, I will check in a couple of times. Otherwise, after tomorrow, I’ll see you on the 18th. ;^ )
LOL
Ouch!!
I used to enjoy watching Nancy Grace - but something happened - she became such a “Drama Queen”, and started finding people guilty before they were even given a fair trial. I now, turn the channel whenever she comes on.
LOL
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a shell lamp. But then, I never looked for one. :)
Hey everyone!
Been trying to keep up with the thread—ha, ha!
We celebrated lighthouse day yesterday! About 9 of us took our boat and went out to Cape Lookout. Heat index yest was 110. I think we’ve lost our minds! It was beautiful! Water was clear, and we found a patch of shade beneath a pine tree to park our picnic stuff. Took the gbaby—17 months. We played in the water and some of the crowd that can stand a little more heat walked over to the lighthouse/museum. There’s a boardwalk now that runs from the hook side to the ocean side. I didn’t make the trip—I allow myself one stupid heat trick per summer, and going out yest was it!
My niece got in the water eating a piece of KFC. She dropped a bite, and the nibblefish swarmed her. We had a ball after that, holding chicken bones and letting the pinfish eat off what was left. The gbaby kept doing it and saying fish, fish and trying to catch them. He kept picking up the shells and saying rock, broke.
The boat ride out and back was good/a little rough. We ran outside (in the ocean) going out and the waves weren’t bad, but choppy. Same thing coming back even though we came back through the sound. Unbelievably beautiful.
We stayed out most of the day, and I’ve still got a headache. I should buy stock in ibuprofen/tylenol/excedrin. I know better, but I love it so. There’s jsut something about the wind and the water. Haven’t been out to the Cape in years.
Keep thinking things will slow down—another ha, ha. I work full time, I write—a lot. Have the gbaby a couple evenings a week, not to mention all the stuff I get sucked into—volunteering, cannning lately, my kid’s stuff. I do good to even read my pings! Not enough hours in the day!
Ya’ll have a great one!

Somehow I always knew you were born beautiful, Amy!
Yeah! And that is an every month prescription. :-(
Sounds like it was a lovely (even though warm) day! A nice memory making day. :-)
