Great picture. Is Hillary holding another rally--perhaps to retire her debt?
Could it be she's calling in the coven on broomsticks?

The Apprentice
As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. —Joshua 1:5

When some employers were asked what makes a good apprentice, they responded that they seek to hire “someone who wants to learn.”

In the Bible, a good example of an apprentice is Joshua. We remember Joshua for marching around the wall of Jericho. He also had some important responsibilities as a spy (Num. 13:16) and as a warrior (Ex. 17:10). But he was often in the shadow of someone else—Moses. For 40 years, Joshua served as Moses’ assistant, aide, and apprentice (Ex. 24:13).

God takes His own time to prepare us for service. Sometimes that period of waiting is as valuable as learning all the needed strategies and goals. Joshua observed Moses’ faith in God. He learned what it meant to be humble (Num. 12:3), how to take instruction (Ex. 17:10), and how to be a true servant of God (Josh. 1:1; 24:29). Even a display of Moses’ temper (Num. 20:7-12) was an opportunity to watch and learn. By spending time with Moses, Joshua learned things that couldn’t be learned from a book.

Joshua’s own time to lead was coming. And when it came, he was able to trust God’s promise to him: “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Josh. 1:5).

People who become great leaders
Sometimes need to learn
How to serve and follow others—
Then they’ll get their turn. —Sper

A person who is not willing to follow is not prepared to lead.

Could be, but I think it is a clever diversion tactic they are sending the coven conventioneers in the wrong direction.

At least I get to see my little laughing smiley!

I have heard it said, JC, that we ALL lose our car keys (especially as we get older.)

The real problem is when we have the keys in our hand, and forget what they are for........ ;)

Now that is scary, isn’t it?

Speaking of car keys, I learned about 10 years ago that if you put your keys on a little key hanger as you come in the door, they will always be there. What my problem is when I go to the mall (like I did yesterday after the luncheon) my keys fall to the bottom of my purse and I have to dig like a cat in a sandpile!

My husband used to laugh and say he never saw a woman that she wasn’t digging in her purse for something. Its true for me, I know! Lots of important stuff (not) in that purse!

Good one and it didn’t remind me of a boring story from 50 years ago.

Our daughter-in-law manages an up-scale spa here in Huntsville so my wife gets to go there occasionally.
Don’t know why she didn’t get a gift certificate for PAMPER YOURSELF DAY.

PAMPER YOURSELF!

Here are 5 Quick-Tips

by Sylvia C. Hall

Women. Ahh, we can do it all. We do it all. Right? Well, almost. I know of far too many mommies, or far too many entrepreneurs, or far too many work-from-homers that know how to do just about everything. That is, everything but pamper themselves.

Women today have to wear 10,000 hats just to get everything done. What does a normal week consist of? How much are you in charge of completing? Add it up. Make a list. I made a little list just to see what I was doing every week, and it made me realize something. I was in need of a break. A well deserved break.

Sure, men are busy, too. But, we’ll leave that to another article. This is an article for those who understand it’s NOT okay to leave an empty granola bar box in the cabinet. Are little things like these starting to drive you mad? Well, join the club, and then read these 5 ways to pamper yourself and retire the hats for at least just a bit.

1. Buy yourself something pretty. I’m a fan of jewelry and flowers. No, it doesn’t have to be especially pricey. You can find a bouquet of flowers at the grocery store for under $5. And, “fashion jewelry” may seem trendy, but if you think it’s pretty...go for it!

2. Do something to make you feel better about your body. Take a bubble bath, paint your toes, pluck your eyebrows...do something to pamper that body of yours.

3. About that body. Are you one of those “negative-self-talkers?” One of the best ways to pamper yourself is to STOP that right now. Stop that negative gibber-jabber.

4. Perhaps you’ve heard of a gratitude journal. It’s a wonderful way to make yourself aware of 3 good things that happened to you throughout the day. I want you to use this same idea for an I Love Me journal. Take some time to write 3 reasons you love yourself, everyday! Point out all the wonderful things about your body, your mind, and your spirit. You can pamper yourself by loving yourself.

5. Daydream. Kids do it all the time. Go back to your child-like innocence and enjoy a lovely daydream. Imagine yourself somewhere beautiful. Think pleasant thoughts. Be at one with the moment, which is currently yours.

You can pamper yourself. You can take just a few minutes each day to appreciate and love yourself. Take care of yourself and everyone in your life will be better off. Even the one who left the empty granola bar box in the cabinet...

NOW, LET ME THINK OF THOSE 3 THINGS I LIKE.....HELP!
