Thank you, Cardhu.
Lovely ladies and unbelievable jewels.
Well, not a whole lot. It’s too hot to do much out in the yard so I just been cooking today. I went to the farmers market across the river and got some fresh peas and squash, both yellow and zucchini, and I cooked the peas and yellow squash along with some corn and Brussels sprouts and a pot of chicken dumplings.
I need to be doing some cleaning but Id rather cook than clean. The temperature is supposed to get down to normal in a couple of days so Ill be able to do some work in the yard then. And I hope to be putting in a new kitchen floor next week but it may be week after next.
Have you got through with your busy time?
Yeah, those were heartbreaking moments though. I was in such shock after the shuttle explosion and 9/11. I just walked around in a daze for a couple of weeks. I just couldn’t comprehend it.
Let’s just hope we share more good times than bad from this day forward. :)
God Bless your Father in law. We wish him every blessing!
I love your ‘doggie’s’ little howl. That dog is just beautiful, Kitty! I’m so glad you have this sweet dog!
Thank you, Amy! We were all disappointed in him taking his life but I do not know what he was going through or what he might have been facing. They said he left a note on the bedroom door, saying “Do Not Come In, Call the Life Saving Crew.” Wasn’t that sad?
We had a Lunch Bunch Classmate Day today. Thats where anyone who graduated from our school (any year) can attend. There are so many that I do not recognize from other classes. At least when our class has a reunion, we have nametags...LOL!
Since I enjoyed it so much, I sent to some email buddies! I thought it was adorable.
YES, Happy Birthday Neil Armstrong! And wishing you many, many more!
Blackmail day? No one is on my list for that..LOL!
We are leaving for 10 days this Friday. I am ready for a vacation.
We will be back on the 18th and then Marissa starts school on the 20th.
I have mixed emotions about school.
Right now I have been busy trying to finish up some tasks before taking off. I will need to take off for awhile on Thursday; need to fill out form to have the USPS hold mail until we get home.
Chicken dumplings sounds wonderful. I can almost smell them.
Lovely Welcoming graphic today, Amy and Lori!
Thank you, dear Meg. That is so cute! I had viewed this earlier before I went to the lunch and I couldn’t hardly remember if I had answered. It doesn’t matter anyway if it was twice!
That is so pretty, Meg. Always love your flowers!
Amy, glad you are getting to go on vacation. I hope it will be wonderful for all of you and you relax and enjoy new places and new things. You will feel so renewed when its over and have good memories to think about!
I’m like you, Chicken and Dumplings...man oh man! Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Every now and then I use a small can of Sweet Sue’s. Homemade is better but for one person, the cans are quite delicious. Add a dash or two of Texas Pete. I like hot sauce on everything!
Awwww, hi sweet little dog! And a great big hello to you, yorkie!
Suicide is so terribly hard on the survivors.
It is so sad that his future seemed so bleak that he felt this was his only option.
I enjoy having lunch with a few of my classmates every three months or so. When someone from out of the area shows up, they get a blank stare. They can check out what we look like today because we send pictures of our luncheons via email.
Hope you enjoyed your luncheon.
LOL
Thank you from MamaBear and me.
Ahhh ..... Yorkie ..... I love your little Yorkie.
I will have to check to see if our market carries canned Chicken and Dumplings.
Making me hungry!
