It’s because we don’t have a victims’ rights lobby :-)
How do you tell if the lawn needs watered?
My wife actually enjoys taking care of the yard. I can tell if the grass needs watering by walking on it bare foot :-) If it needs water, I wait for rain - my wife can water it if she wants to.
I can’t tell you how many vehicles Hubby has registered under the wrong color because he forgot to confirm what color it was before he went to the license branch. lol
Oddly, he can identify colors better in black and white images. I try not to take advantage of it, but sometimes when I’m watching a black and white movie or looking through black and white pictures, I’ll drag him in to tell me what color a dress is or what color the wallpaper is, etc.
There are so many things those of us that aren’t color blind take for granted and I’m still discovering ways that it affects his life and the many work-arounds he has to use. The full-time blinker lights will also have a “Stop Ahead” sign if it’s red but, like you pointed out, he can’t tell if it’s one of those lights set to blink after a certain time of day.
I only recently realized that most links change from blue to purple when you’ve clicked on them. That’s of absolutely no use to him! :\
And my is not a dumb blond, either! :-)
I buy used vehicles - so the state already knows the color.
Congratulations on your years of love and laughter together. It should be easy like that for everyone don’t you think but...unfortunately it isn’t always the case.
We will be married 50 years next June. Can’t hardly believe it. We dated all through high school so can remember those “teen” birthdays. Ha,ha. Been a great ride and would do it over and over and over again like I am sure you and your bride would. Laughter is the best medicine for about everything and I think we all are blessed to have such happy marriages and love. God bless.
Many thanks and congrats on your long marriage - every year, every week together is a testimony of Christ’s love for His church.
It ain’t always easy, but it’s worth doin’.
Whew!! Glad to know I wasn't the only one who could never see those things. Up close. Far away. Always the same thing..."What the heck am I supposed to be looking at??" LOL! Was I glad when that fad ended. :o)
Nothing worth doing is ever easy. :) Keep up the good work and Happy Anniversary!!!
The moniker is a little tongue-in-cheek. heheh I’m usually just a normal person of normal intelligence. However, it seems anytime Hubby tries to help dispel the “blonde myth” by saying, “Hey, my wife is no dumb blonde!”, I do something so incredibly blonde it defies belief. Always with an audience, of course. :D
