Is that stress showing in your face, Madonna, or attempts to defy the ravages of time?

Dressed up to the nines and wearing plenty of make-up, Madonna still manages to look pretty sensational for a woman rapidly approaching her half century.
But bare-faced and in short sleeves, she reveals some of the gruelling health and beauty regime behind the glamour.
Madonna, seen holding hands with her daughter Lourdes as they left a Kabbalah centre in New York, wore a T-shirt which exposed the veins standing out on arms subjected to endless workouts.

I'm in my 30s and still look young. Am I supposed to be ashamed that someday I might be lucky enough to hit 50?
I'm looking at the pic of Madonna. She looks a little older than her publicity shots. She's obviously working out like crazy. Am I supposed to laugh at the fact that she looks older without makeup?
Seriously. What a youth obsessed culture we have. So what if she looks older? Is looking 20 the ideal? 30? At what age should I commit suicide in order to prevent a "wow, he looks old" thread from being posted about me?
No thanks. I think I will take as many years as I'm given and look as old as I'm permitted to.

The woman has had more pr*cks in her than a pin cushion, so it isn’t surprising that she looks like this.

She looks anorexic. Amy Winehouse is half her age and looks the same.

What makes her a joke is that she’s trying oh so hard to pass herself off as much younger and it isn’t working. Duets with Justin Timberlake? Hanging out with A-Rod?

I think it’s the fact that she looks like she’s been botoxed within an inch of her life. Rather than embracing her age (think that picture of Helen Mirren in the red bikini) she’s running from it, and as a result looks worse than ever.

Great post! I’m no fan of Madonna’s, but aging happens to all of us...if we’re lucky. I guess according to some Freepers, if a 50-year-old dares to look their age, they should just crawl into a hole and never show themselves in public.

If she didn't look anorexic, there would be 15 "look how fat Madonna got" threads.
We pick a small percentage of the population. We give those people money and put their pictures on TV constantly. Then we try to kill them.
We do this because we suffer from the illusion that our own lives are boring.
I don't have any desire to judge or kill a celebrity.

aging happens to all of us...if were lucky.
I recently stopped sucking tobacco poison into my lungs so that I might be lucky enough to reach my 70s. I think 77 might be a nice age to reach. I won't be as handsome as I am now. Or maybe I will. I don't care. I just want to make it to that age.
Either way, I respect my elders and I am offended that society somehow respects some idiot kid who doesn't know anything just because that kid doesn't have crows feet around his or her eyes.

I think what a woman has on the inside shows more as she gets older.

Duets with Justin Timberlake? I was kind of surprised that she went back to that after she seemed to be trying to gain some British respectability with her childrens' books. Maybe the video with Justin should have clued everyone in about the impending split with her husband.
