World Journal, Posted: Jun 30, 2008 BEIJING One person was killed, 150 injured and 200 arrested when the Guizhou Province government cracked down on rioters in Wengan County June 28, the World Journal reports. Over 500 high school students and local people started the insurrection because a 16-year-old girl had been raped and killed, and local government and police turned a blind eye on it. According to the World Journal, it all began when the victim refused to help one of her female classmates cheat on a test. Later, the girl was raped and killed by three young men, and her body dumped in a river. Rumors are circulating that the girl who was refused help on the test instigated the rape and killing, and that she is the niece of the governor of Wengan County.
If the rumors are true I hope the 500 rioters make their point
Cracks in the Great Wall of China’s communist grip over her people.
They’ve tasted freedom, and the last bastion of communism yet to fall is a government of the People, by the People, and for the People.
It better happen fast. There is another VERY dangerous movement going on in China -
the combination of the one child policy that produces a huge ratio of males to females, leading to males without prospects for wives,
and this trend that I just heard of recently - the revision of history to make China the perpetual victim of outside oppression.
The left in America has used this latter point for power for a long time - if you’re a victim, you are justified in anything you do (see Black Liberation Theology).
Too many men with no domestic lives, plus a mentality that anything you do can be justified in light of past grievances
= expansionist war of conquest.
I'm afraid this has been a theme for thousands of years. It is also the main justification for Chinese imperialism over the entire length of China's existence - barbarian pacification (i.e. bringing the barbarians to their knees and taking their lands).
“Too many men with no domestic lives,”
Send over Maureen Dowd and her crew and the zillions of American women who are in their thirties and desperately seeking men.
Thanks for replying, I was waiting for it... :)
