A Higher Plateau

I want to reach for a higher plateau
Valley vistas and mountain ridges are just too low

And when I get to one mountain top
I'm going to scale over; I'm not going to stop

I want to reach for a higher plateau
No looking back for me; onward I will go

I will rise with the first morning light
And praise God with a cheerful delight

I want to reach for a higher plateau
Because I want to see the saints of old

I want to stand beside Heaven's Pearly Gates
And dine with Jesus in that Heavenly place

Cute!
An unusual PET
A single guy decides life would be more fun if he had a pet.
So he went to the pet store and told the owner that he wanted to buy an unusual pet.
After some discussion, he finally bought a talking centipede, which came in a little white box to use for his house.
He took the box back home, found a good location for the box, and decided he would start off by taking his new pet to church with him.
So he asked the centipede in the box, ‘Would you like to go to church with me today?
We will have a good time.’
But there was no answer from his new pet.
This bothered him a bit, but he waited a few minutes and then asked him again, ‘How about going to church with me and receive blessings?’
But again, there was no answer from his new friend and pet.
So he waited a few minutes more, thinking about the situation.
He decided to ask him one more time; this time putting his face upagainst the centipede’s house and shouting, ‘Hey, in there! Would you like
to go to church with me and learn about the Lord?’
YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS
A little voice came out of the box ..................... ‘I heard you the first time! I’m putting on my shoes.’

For All The Cat~People of Amy's Place


Kitten Pile





The Cul du Sac Mother Cats
Decided that a Kitten Sleep Over would be in the works
Arranged in such a way to not drive their generous Humans berserk
When more than one kindle of silken Kittens would be making the scene

Bearing coats of beige and orange plus vests of snowy white sheen
Framed in solid gray to mottled black and tawny shades in between
Though food and entertainment would not be a problem for this soiree
Creature comforts topped the list and would be acquired right away
With a plush wide Doggy's Nap Bed that wouldn't be missed anyway

Providing a central location for the arrival of tiny guests one by one
Where the plethora of Kittens could make friends and seek out fun
While the three Mothers gazed upon their accomplishment with a smile
None were even shocked a bit as their darlings melted into a cozy Kitten Pile!
