Sorry ‘bout that.
;o)
I don’t have knee replacements but I twisted my knee so bad it cracked in midair slipping on ice many years ago..I still have problems going down stairs. I grab the rail..My leg seemed to disappear on me going downstairs for a long time..
Kids do love to give splashes.
PS ... the leak is very slow ....... 1” - 1 1/2” overnight.
I seem to remember “slide down my cellar door” also.
Later, I will see if I can find another source for lyrics.
Oh, that’s good..
Ahhhh .... so sweet and such great memories.
Thanks for sharing, Jaycee.
You are so cute and made a very pretty bride for your handsome sailor...
You’re on a roll, Yorkie...:-)
Did Rosemary Clooney record that?
Maybe you could get JustFrank to squirt you with the hose.
Always offering a helping hand. :)
Oh yes, JC. We did indeed have rain barrels. When it rained, we first let it wash the tin roof down for a while, then we put the downspout over into the cystern to fill it. But there was also a wooden rain barrel at every corner of the house to catch water. That water was used for washing dishes, clothes, etc. The cystern was drinking water. During drought times, the cystern would dry up and we had to haul water from a spring that was about a mile or so from the house. We put thoe wooden barrels on the wagon and hitched up the horses. The barrels were clean and the water was kept clean by putting a white cloth over them and putting a metal ring around the top of the barrel. Ah the good ole days.
LOL
Thanks for the suggestion ..... If it is still this hot at 7:00, I may beg him to turn the hose on me. :)
Marissa has been ready to get in the pool since 4:30. She doesn’t seem to understand “Too Hot”.
You know what, Dita, my husband was aboard ship when we married and his hair would get so curly being out on that sea.
He had the most beautiful grey hair and he became grey very early and the older he got the whiter he got. He became more handsome as the years went by. Men get more handsome and dignified looking as they get older and women get more wrinkled~~~LOL~~~All that mattered was in his eyes I was always the same!
Amy, I also remember a hand pump somewhere when I was little. It may have been in West Virginia where my dad’s sister lived. I remember them having an outhouse. I hadn’t been around one and I thought it was so exciting. They took baths in a great big wash tub in a little basement area. I do remember the ‘outhouse’ didn’t smell so good!!LOL~~
*Sigh*... how romantic:)
I was thinking, who does he remind me of in the bottom picture and I realized....Tobey Maguire!!!
What do you think?
And we both were so skinny~~
JC, when I was young, I would go ‘skinny dipping’ with the girls at camp.
Now, I go “Chunky Dunkin’ “ with seniors...........
Darn it, at the moment I can’t put Tobey Magrire in my mind...give me a hint!
Everyone thought my husband was Italian but he had some Indian in him on two sides of his family. Had that nice olive skin that didn’t wrinkle...his mother had beautiful skin like that and so does his sister. One of my sons has his olive skin and the other one not so olive but dark brown hair and brown eyes. The olive skinned son’s eyes are almost black they’re so dark.
He stars in the “Spiderman” movies.
