there are some historic facts you ought to consider:
1. Spanish WAS spoken in Arizona before English.
2. Hispanics are now the largest minority group in the U.S.
3. It is estimated that Hispanics will be equal in size to Americans who can trace their linage back to Western Europe in 40 years.
4. Hispanics will be the majority ethnic U.S. group by the late 21st Century (grandchildren's generation).
5. Most Hispanics ascribe to the fact that hard work will result in wealth, (thanks to the Roman Catholic Church) most are family oriented and share Republican philosophy regarding such items as abortion, euthanasia and honesty in work and life.
6. Republicans need to court Hispanics; ensure they are inculcated with capitalistic ideals and are repulsed by Democratic appeals for endless cradle-to-grave welfare and entitlements.
You appear to be operating under a mistaken impression. "Hispanic" does not necessarily equal "illegal immigrant."
I don't know of anybody who has a problem with courting Hispanic voters to the conservative cause. We need (and have much to offer to) Hispanics, blacks, Poles, and people of all origins.
It's McCain's love of illegals that makes him unfit for the office he seeks.

Mexico does not have aright to invade America via immigration— legal and illegal.
If your best neighbor continued to break onto your property or into your home, take your food, siphon gas out of your car, leave trash inside and outside of your house, occupy one of your bedrooms against your objections, steal money out of your pocket to educate his children and pay for health care for his family, I'd hate to think what your worst neighbors were doing.
McCain is an absolute fool when it comes to Mexico. No, I'd say he's more like an absolute saboteur on behalf of Mexico when it comes to our nation.

They (i.e. supply) are coming here for jobs (i.e. demand). It is a pure and simple rule of economics: Stop the demand, and you will stop the supply. McCain wants to secure the borders; he has stated that time and again (which is different than anything you'll ever hear from the Democrats) But what you don't hear is anyone (GOP or Dems) ACTUALLY (though they do talk about it) going after the "demanders," and therefore the root of the drive for amnesty, BECAUSE they are the money conduits (Walmart, Kmart, Swift, Armor, Del Monte, Green Giant, General Mills, Golden Corral, Holiday Inn, Ramada Inn, small business owners and farmers, unions and corporations, ad infinitum that supply campaigns and keep politicians in power).

If Ted Kennedy hadn’t skewed immigration for the last 43 years, putting the UK/Western Europe LAST and humping every 3rd World cesspool for people, this also wouldn’t be an issue.
