I am glad he could install XP for you if you wanted. After
June 30 that option is going to be off the table with
Microsoft....unless they get smart and extend the deadline
till they “fix” Vista.

Meanwhile, I am babying my computer that has XP. It’s just
about the perfect system. Don’t know why they thought they
had to “improve” on the best one they’ve had! Sheesh!

I have XP and son has the program. So if I need a new computer, he can install the XP on it, unless they change the computers so that they won’t take an XP.

It is planned obsolescence, I guess. I think we could have all lived long into the future with XP without a problem - you are right, it was just about perfect as far as I could tell. But, Microsoft needs to sell new operating systems......so, what are you going to do? There are a few nifty features with Vista, but nothing that we couldn't live happily without.
