Pelicans
Dont go to lunch with pelicans.
It isnt very wise,
Although their stomach is quite small,
The mouth is twice its size!
And notice something else, my friend,
When they arrive to dine,
The purse they carry has no coins,
Theyre paupers by design.
Theyll eat til they can hold no more,
Then stuff more in their cheeks,
Theyll fill their doggy bags so tight,
It might just last for weeks.
So never dine with pelicans,
Whose appetite you cant fill,
They wont ever say a Thank You!
And who wants a great big bill?

Morning, Cardy,
I sure appreciate you keeping me posted with your pings, I need to put something on Amy’s thread sometime.
Beautiful morning here in Utah, 68 degrees, flowers blooming, mountains all green up to the snow line, I see traces of fresh snow from 9,000 to 11,000 feet.
Love that Evenings at 7 in the Parish Hall sign, so typical of America.
It must be a curious perspective from your vantage point in Europe.
Thanks

My comments page shows no numbers.
It’s too early for a drink here; I’ll pretend I’m in London.

Hi Amy,
thanks for being so prompt to notice my interest. Here’s the little thing I put together while sitting on the banks of the Colorado river for a few days this spring, I’m putting it into a book I’m writing.
Beyond the bounds of space and time lies Him whose dream we share.
From mountain top to ocean depth to sky and everywhere we can not move or think or feel beyond the bound He set and His conception of the past and future none forget.
We play our part by forming dreams within the dream He gives, and understand His will as ours in setting lives to live.
We push and pull, we stretch and fold the fabric of our life and set in motion what becomes our happiness and strife to see the bitter end to deeds that we believe are ours while all of destiny is bound to follow from the stars.
The truth we fear is hard to hear as we perceive the glass through which all forms of good and ill are sanctified to pass, and be the maze so dark and deep we call it the morass we can not tell what feeds the fear that brings us down at last.
His dream remains and we are bound to see and play our part with freedom being our illusion given from the start while destiny unfolds a bitter tale of loss and woe as we despise the little truth that should be ours to know.
His mind extends across the span of universal right and we are bound to learn the way to stand alone and fight the demons and the demigods that haunt us in the dark and bring us down to mortal clay that bears the mortal mark.
Alone we come upon this earth, alone we pass away, alone we seek His holy light, alone we learn to pray.
Alone we see beyond His dream and everlasting will, alone we find essential mind and effervescent skill.
Alas, all things will come to pass, we fail, grow weak, and die.
We must rethink our temporal link to Him who built the sky.

Numbering is fine for me.
I’m laughing so hard I have to move my Mocha away from my keyboard.
I shall print this and give it to the fellow who does our bulletins.
