I'm in the same boat as you, though I never saw either of those movies... I developed a hugh crush on Foster when I saw "The Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane."

I remember that movie, too! Wasn't that the one where people were disappearing into her cellar? I'm two years younger than she is. I always liked her as an actress, but I'm female so I didn't have a crush like you did. ;-) But I always thought she picked interesting roles: Taxi Driver, The Accused, Silence of the Lambs, Panic Room, Flight Plan (but I hated the way she whined through Contact, and I never saw Nell). She always played the part of a straight woman, as far as I can remember. (I guess she really was acting!) ;-)

Yup, that was it. It was also one of Martin Sheen's early movies... Now THAT was a really creepy role!

If I remember correctly, and it was a looong time ago in the backseat of my dads car at the Drive-in Little girl down the lane was about a very young teen who because of a death or something found herself suddenly living alone in this little house down the lane. Anybody who would come to investigate ended up finding themselves buried in a hole in the backyard or something like that.
